 Homework: Choose the level appropriate for you and complete that level.

There are many differences and similarities between The Hunger games and the Roman Gladiators. One of the similarities is that for a gladiator and a tribute a lot of money had to be spent. The had to train them, buy them food so that they could be strong and healthy. They have to pay the place were they would be able to sleep, medical attention, etc. For someone to have a gladiator they had to be rich to own one and in The Hunger games they have to be rich as well.

Another small similarity that both gladiators and the tribute from the book had to sacrifice their life. They had to fight for their life. In The Hunger Game 24 tributes enter The Hunger Games and only 1 comes out alive. But in the gladiators the fought 1 one 1 to see who would survive. They were both used as a form of entertainment. They were both put in an arena and there would be people watching and cheering to see blood and death.

What is one difference? Well Gladiators were sold and they were also slaves and in The Hunger Games the tributes weren't slaves and they weren't sold either. In The Hunger Games the tributes were normal people living in different districts and they were chosen in if they were between the ages 12-18. Gladiators were sold and their slaves that were found and chosen to a gladiator school.
