Dance History: V00, V81, V05, and V02
Today we discussed what the people in To Kill a Mockingbird dressed like in the 1930's in Alabama. We have been discussing Square Dancing which is the Folk Dance of Alabama.

Level 1: Draw a picture of what type of outfits you think that the Square Dancers would wear in the 1930's in Alabama based on To Kill a Mockingbird.

 Level 2: Draw a picture or give one example of what a woman square dancer would wear and one example of what a man square dancer would wear in the 1930's in Alabama based on To Kill a Mockingbird.

 Level 3: Compare (same) and Contrast (different) the outfits of the women and men Square Dancers and what they would have worn in the 1930's in Alabama based on To Kill a Mockingbird.

Today we continued to discuss how people make judgements about others based on the rumors they may hear. We also discussed how we can get to know others better so that we can get to know others better before making judgements. In To Kill a Mockingbird we were able to see how different characters were treated by the others in town. Interview someone at home to get to know them better. The person should ask you the same questions as well. Use the questions below to assist you in completing this homework.
