Dance History: V00, V81, V05, and V02
Today we continued to discuss Square Dancing because it is the Folk dance of Alabama. To Kill a Mockingbird is set in Maycomb, Alabama.

All Levels: Discuss with someone at home one thing that you learned about square dancing this week. (What do they wear, how many people perform this, who tells the dancers what moves to do, etc.)

Today we continued to discuss Jim Crow laws and what they were. These laws effected how people were treated in the 1930's.


All Levels: Discuss with someone at home how Atticus (Lawyer) from To Kill a Mockingbird was treated for defending Tom Robinson. Why do you think he was treated this way?
