Today we continued to speak about Swing Dancing which was a popular type of Ballroom dance in the 1930's (Great Depression). Swing Dancing was a partner dance that was used to meet new people as well as get out their energy.

Why was Swing Dancing popular during the Great Depression?

Today we were introduced to Candy from Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck.

"I got hurt four year ago,” "They'll can me soon. As soon as I can't swamp out bunkhouses. If I give you guys my money, you'll let me hoe in the garden even after I ain't good at it. I'll wash dishes an' little chicken stuff like that.”
